Another TLM – St. Anne, IL

CELEBRATE ST. ANNE’S DAY
at the Original Shrine of St. Anne
230 N. Sixth Avenue, St. Anne, IL
Monday, July 26, 2021St. Anne, Illinois, 15 miles southeast of Kankakee, was founded in 1850 by French-Canadian settlers devoted to their patroness, “Good Ste. Anne”, the Mother of Mary and Grandmother of the Lord. The novena has been the occasion of many blessings – physical ones as the crutches, canes and wheelchairs left behind testify – as well as spiritual ones.

In these troubled times, we draw strength from our traditional devotions. Bring your children and grandchildren to share in this day’s expression of faith.

The Festival will be celebrated on the closing day of the 141st Annual Novena (July 18-26) to St. Anne, on Monday the 26th.

There will be a Traditional Latin Mass in the historic church at 12 noon, followed by a procession with the relic of St. Anne and the rosary.

Starting at 11 a.m. and continuing throughout the afternoon, lunches of sandwiches. chicken, pasta, will be available for purchase. There will also be religious articles, candles, books, fresh cut flowers, and perennial plants from the gardens, for sale on the ample grounds of this historic site.

Buses are welcome and parking is available on the grounds. The church is air-conditioned. For further information, you may call 815 427-8265.
