A Get-Rich “Scheme”

According to Forbes Magazine, below is the 2012 list for the ten most wealthy individuals.  In just a few sentences though, in what I hope you will take to heart, I am going to tell you how to surpass all of them in riches.

Name                                                     Net worth                      Source(s) of wealth

Now, consider this truth:  “The benefit of a single grace is greater than all the material value of the whole world.”  Says who?  Says St. Thomas Aquinas 1,2,P, 113a IX ad. 2.

When I read the above quote in my morning reading, I immediately thought of what I could do right there and then to obtain one such single grace that would surpasses the total worth of all the riches in the entire globe!

I was inspired to make a spiritual Communion. It is something I do everyday, but never before has the act had as much significance as when I meditated on the words of St. Thomas.  That is the thought I want to pass on to you today: to make frequent spiritual Communions so as to grow rich in the love of God!

First ask our Blessed Lady to help you form a proper intention, then ask her to adorn you in her most beautiful virtues so as to enable you to receive Him worthily.

My Jesus, I believe that Thou art present in the Blessed Sacrament. I love Thee above all things and I desire Thee in my soul. Since I cannot now receive Thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though thou wert already there, I embrace Thee and unite myself wholly to Thee; permit not that I should ever be separated from Thee.

Than speak to Him, thank Him, and finally say to Him, “Mane mecum, Domine.”

Carlos, Bill, Warren… eat your hearts out.  I’ve made my billions today – and more!
