No, it only had a modern kneeler with a barrier rope to prevent people from coming up through the sanctuary. The sister were asked by the previous Bishop, Bishop Cooney to remove the kneeler, which they did, hence where they are today.
The chapel used to have a communion rail, but the previous Ordinary ordered that it be taken down.
