As we all know, these evil days necessitate an urgent and public plea to God for His mercy upon his Church and for the entire troubled world. The times call for public acts of reparation and faith, as our Lady instructed in her apparitions at Fatima. What she told us then, was nothing really new. It’s all in Scripture. Her warnings alerted us to a great apostasy which would take place, and which has been continuing with an even swifter spiraling – like in the spinning and falling of the sun on that October 13 of 1917! Do we not see the evils engulfing our communities, our Church, governments, the entire world? Will we reach the point of such decay that merits the justice of God’s judgment in the annihilation of nations as Our Lady warned?
What did our Lady ask for? In a nutshell, she asked for prayers, especially that of the daily rosary, reparation, and for the consecration of Russia. We, the laity, have no direct way of acting upon the latter part of her request, but we can pray mightily for the upper hierarchy to finally obey God who wants that nation consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on one day, in union with all of the world’s bishops. What would happen after this act of obedience to Heaven, would be the miraculous conversion of Russia, bringing her back into the one fold under Rome, and then there would follow a period of Godly peace for this poor world.
As for our part, we must pray the rosary, wear the brown scapular, make the First 5 Saturday devotions, and make acts of reparation; specially beneficial and efficacious will be public devotions such as we are planning for Wednesday, October 13. Did you know that our Lady specifically asked for public processions? It was at her request that the first procession in 1917 took place at what came to be her world-famous Fatima shrine.
So, we will do as she wants, because our Mother knows best how to obtain the peace that she promised, the peace which God has willed to place in Her hands. This peace will insure the tranquility and liberty of Holy Mother Church, as well as peace among nations. We will pray for the grace of fidelity to the traditional and infallible teachings of the dogma of our Holy faith, and for the conversion of souls. We will be praying for the dawning of the promised triumph of our Lady’s Immaculate Heart! Our two greatest spiritual weapons are the Traditional Latin Mass and the rosary! We will deploy then both!
